Oud / Bois d’agar
L’oud est un bois de cœur sombre issu du genre d’arbres Aquilaria. Lorsque l’arbre est infecté par un certain type de moisissure, une résine huileuse foncée se forme, dégageant un parfum dense et mystérieux. Ce phénomène rare et exceptionnel nécessite de grands volumes de bois pour extraire une quantité suffisante d’huile destinée à la fabrication de parfum. C’est pourquoi l’oud est plus précieux que l’or.
